I’m a member of the Canadian Journalists for Free Expression. Canadian Journalists for Free Expression (CJFE) is a Canadian non-governmental organizationsupported by Canadian journalists and advocates of freedom of expression. The purpose of the organization is to defend the rights of journalists and contribute to the development of press freedomthroughout the world. CJFE recognizes that these rights are not confined to journalists and strongly supports and defends the broader objective of freedom of expression in Canada and around the world.
I have also applied to become a member of the Professional Society of Drone Journalists.
Established in 2011, PSJD is the first international organization dedicated to establishing the ethical, educational and technological framework for the emerging field of drone journalism. We develop small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) for journalists, and explore best practices to deploy them for a variety of reporting needs, including investigative, disaster, weather, sports, and environmental journalism.
